San Diego Temple From Across The Freeway
After spending a few days at the beach in Oceanside we headed back home by way of San Diego. We stopped at Deseret Book across the freeway from the Temple and I did a little scouting for a vertical image. It was obvious I wasn't the first to find this location - the chain link fence looked pretty beat up from people climbing over to get an unobstructed view. I think I climbed up on my truck to shoot this one.
This is just a simple, handheld digital snapshot. The sun is still fairly high in the sky and the light is pretty harsh. The scene is so peaceful it's hard to imagine a busy interstate freeway running on each side of the bushes at the bottom of the image.
I've never been to San Diego in the winter but I'd consider going just to get a morning shot of this scene with the sun rising in the southeast (the right side of the image).
