Sunny San Diego Temple

A few years ago while vacationing with my family in Oceanside, CA I decided to photograph the San Diego Temple. My plan was to spend early mornings at the Temple, photographing as the sun rose and the clouds and fog changed. Part of the plan worked; I spent several early mornings at the Temple - but I wasn't able to photograph. The Temple was closed for maintenance while we were there and I hadn't checked beforehand. I was hoping the grounds would be open in the morning, but I ended up watching the sunrise from outside the locked gate.
The Temple grounds were open the day we drove home and we were able to stop for a while so I could photograph. My family is usually very patient with my photography, but I guess that becomes easier when you have a beautiful Temple to wander around and admire.
The light in this scene is not ideal and the sky is pretty unremarkable, but the Temple is so spectacular that it saves the image. Fortunately, I was able to return recently to photograph with more interesting skies. I'll post some of those images later.
